About Kochi Kontho

Who We Are

Kochi Konther Asar (World Children Organization) stands as a global symbol of hope and transformation for children, particularly those facing social, economic, and emotional adversity. Established in 1976 in Bangladesh by visionary Humanitarian Hemayet Hossain, the organization was born from a mission to elevate children’s lives through education, empowerment, and cultural engagement.

Guided by its motto—“A Global Family for Children”—Kochi Konther Asar has grown from a humble grassroots initiative into a global movement dedicated to restoring childhoods, nurturing talent, and building future leaders. Today, with registered nonprofit status in both Bangladesh and the United States, and operational reach in over 33 countries, the organization delivers transformative programs in education, arts, health, child protection, and social justice.

From performing arts schools and rehabilitation centers to international media platforms and festivals, Kochi Konther Asar offers a holistic, child-centered model. It empowers young minds to thrive intellectually, emotionally, and creatively—regardless of background.

Its flagship programs, such as the International Children’s Festival, Kids Vision TV, SUCCESS Mentorship Program, and the Kochi Kontho Children’s Home (Shishu Nibash), reflect the organization’s diverse, inclusive, and future-focused vision.

Kochi Konther Asar is not just a charitable initiative—it is a worldwide children’s movement that champions every child’s right to dream, express, and succeed.
